Olive trees cause it’s Greece –> Idea: Gardening, Photography

Olive trees ’cause it’s Greece

Olive trees have been growing for a lot of years in my grandfather’s beach house in Greece, and all these years he used the olives to make his own olive oil. My grandmother was treating them for days in a very special way and in the end they tasted delicious. Their taste was extremely different from all those commercial products (both olives and olive oil) sold in Greece and abroad as well. So once again, whatever homemade is the best… If you ever have a chance to grow your own olives, I can so recommend it. πŸ™‚

  1. I would love to have olive trees in my garden but don’t think they would survive the weather here. Also i know olive trees take so long to mature. Great blog

    • Thank you so much, I actually enjoyed your blog as well! Great theme! Maybe you know better than me for olive trees. I would love to have my own but I also think it’s difficult. Well in Greece I think they grow by themselves more or less…But here in Denmark I have seen that shops sell small olive trees in pots, and I would love to have one, but I also think it would be difficult… Thanks for your kind comment and visit!
