Difference of freddo cappuccino and freddo espresso: Odyssey of a tourist –> Travelling, Food and drinks

A question I get a lot abroad is what is going on with all those weird coffees in Greece. I can understand a tourist’s confusion, as myself sometimes I tend to get confused, even though I have ordered them a million times. Apart from the classic frappe (cold Nescafe), which is not my favourite, I will show you here the 2 freddo coffees: Freddo espresso and freddo cappuccino.

First of all take a look at a nice waffle: ice cream topping of melon, ferrero and strawberry.

Easy Sunday morning in Greece: Freddo espresso, freddo cappuccino and waffle with strawberry, ferrero and melon.

Ok now, take a look at the 2 coffees and notice the basics:

  1. Freddo espresso: You need double shot of espresso, sugar, icecubes. Espresso is made on an espresso machine and placed with sugar and icecubes in a tall narrow or low wide glass.  A mixer is used in the process as well.
  2. Freddo cappuccino: Same as freddo espresso but topped with frothed cold milk.

Difference of freddo cappuccino (left) and freddo espresso (right). The only difference is the frothed milk on top of freddo cappuccino.

Enjoy!!
