Yes I might have posted several times about Malmö, but this area just a little bit north of the city centre, called Vastra Hamnen is among my favourites! Still in walking distance from the centre (half an hour let’s say) it is a good opportunity to cross the city, parks and residential areas with great architecture (last photo) similar to the blocks built in southern countries with gardens and balconies (!!!!), and that is something you don’t often see in Scandinavia!
I love it for a weekend or even a day trip as I live in Copenhagen! From Copenhagen’s central station you can take the train, cross Øresund bridge and arrive in Malmo within half an hour!
Spring is finally coming in Copenhagen and Langelinie (area around the Little Mermaid and Østerport) is getting more and more beautiful. Trees with pink flowers, people lying on the grass and lots of happy tourists set an amazing scenery. Under these beautiful trees, which are quite a lot around this area, you see couples kissing and hugging, friends having their picnic and families lying on the grass with their babies.
How much more romantic and peaceful can it get? This is my favourite side of Copenhagen so far and this time of year is simply amazing. Enjoy the photos as much as I do!
Besides, Danes are the happiest people on earth…either agree or not, people seem so peaceful and relaxed. Love (kærlighed in Danish) is all around the air 🙂
