Yes I might have posted several times about Malmö, but this area just a little bit north of the city centre, called Vastra Hamnen is among my favourites! Still in walking distance from the centre (half an hour let’s say) it is a good opportunity to cross the city, parks and residential areas with great architecture (last photo) similar to the blocks built in southern countries with gardens and balconies (!!!!), and that is something you don’t often see in Scandinavia!
I love it for a weekend or even a day trip as I live in Copenhagen! From Copenhagen’s central station you can take the train, cross Øresund bridge and arrive in Malmo within half an hour!
Here is the last batch of photos of a very sunny day in Malmo, before this sudden winter wave came! Turning Torso is actually a residential skyscraper, which caught me by surprise, I was certain it would be rented by companies. The area around is newly built, filled with new houses, cafes and playgrounds, all in all a wonderful place to visit for a day or a weeekend break.
