Expat in panic –> Easy living in Denmark

Cappuccino with cinnamon, spinach pie, troufakia, bars with berries, and Danish studying.

Well, I thought since I am living here, why not make a section about living in Denmark? A post every now and then would help expats like me or people interested to live here.

At this particular point of my life, I am in a point where I try to combine work, Danish lessons and driving license exams and I gotta say, it ain’t easy… I am MORE than tired, but still trying to keep up!

Anyway, people coming in Denmark are offered Danish free courses for 3 years and it is a great motivation for someone to attend and integrate in the society. You can either have 2 times a week courses in the afternoon or intense 4-times a week in the mornings. However, while the advantage of these courses is that you have a free way to learn the language and have an idea of what’s going on around you, there is a big disadvantage: the purpose of the language centers are to ‘make you want to learn danish‘ and not actually teach you perfect danish. This means that quality is limited and you will have to mostly learn on your own.

Still, not bad for a free course! If you have time, try it!

If you are in panic with lots of responsibilities like me, try to relax with a warm cappuccino with cinnamon, some spinach pie and something sweet (here troufakia, a Greek sweet dessert, and white chocolate bars with berries, a Danish dessert).
