No words for how I appreciated this sun after months of darkness in Scandinavia.
Blue and Blue
Wavy flag on the ship.
Leaving trails in the water.
Approaching Paros.
In Paros’ port.
And leaving Paros again for the next stop.
Goodbye Paros! Actually, we came back to Paros later, it was our 3rd destination!
Time to get inside the ship and have some coffee!
When we started our holiday last year for a small greek islands tour, we flew to Athens and took a ship from there to our first island Naxos. This is a photo album of our 4 hour route (if I remember correctly), enjoying both sea and sun!
Arriving at Naxos, here is the view that I had from our breakfast room in our hotel. I was overwhelmed by the view and the beauty of this island, I was not expecting it!
We stayed west of the Chora (Naxos capital). The centre was just 10 min walk from the hotel, which has a view of the sea and the main town.
A better view of the walking distance, picture without zoom here.
On the right of the main town you see Portara, this is an unfinished ancient temple, that gathers many tourists during the day. I could not believe the beautiful view. I mean I love Santorini for its majestic view, but this island has nothing to be jealous for! Amazing landscape, beautiful sunsets, great sea!
