Looking for the sun

Beach close to Alexandroupoli, 20 min walk from the centre, clear water and quiet, especially in the morning, I just love to hang out in this beach in the mornings every summer!

Just some perspective… Taking pictures with my mind to hold on for a year 🙂

Taking a walk next to the beach and letting the waves splash in your feet, extraordinarily calming

Crystal clear sea with view of Samothraki, a small island 3 hours by ship, which is mostly preferred by campers due its special nature.

Same view but different colours, I believe the lens made a difference!

Taking a nap here is way better than my bed

Sky perspective

Of course and without further questions I introduce you to the famous Greek frappe coffee, which here is probably shown in its worst version, but still a delight! Very refreshing for the beach and great for morning. Alternatively, I would go for the Greek brewed coffee that you can see in another post last year.

As I was leaving, I tried and failed miserably to take a good picture from the plane window, but I hope you can still get this warm feeling that I get everytime I fly over the Aegean Sea. The sun is always reflected on the sea, the sea is always calm and smooth and you just feel this ‘hygge’ I would say in Danish but in english it would be ‘warm/happy feeling.

Goodbye Greece!

Chandelier in my hotel

As I slowly prepare for Christmas holidays in Greece, I couldn’t help but take a look in my summer photos. It is always a guarantee to get your mood in a better shape! This and next post will include some photos from my hometown but I am finally editing the pictures from my first tour in 4 greek islands and the pictures are so beautiful to watch over and over again…

Here are just some interior details that I found from the hotel I stayed this summer, beautiful chandelier and lounging by the pool in the afternoon 🙂

Summer night city

Summer is getting closer and I just can’t wait to go to Greece! Summer nights are perfect to walk around the city, any city, town or island, because people love to spend time out with friends. Streets are filled with voices until early in the morning and  it is just normal that you don’t want to go home.

Here I played a bit with some old photos from my walk in my small town called Alexandroupoli, located by the beach and perfect for summertime. I created 3 versions of the same photo, one with purple touch, one with blue touch and left the original as well unfiltered, just to compare.

Looking forward to summetime!

Sunset in Alexandroupoli where I chose to give a purple touch in the original picture.

Same picture with a blue touch.

Original picture.

Which one do you prefer and what would you change in a photo editing software?

Getting back from holiday: In process –> Idea: Travelling

Long time no see! I just returned from holidays and I am still in denial phase! I have taken a huge break from blogging but I definitely enjoyed summer. Now ready for a harsh winter! I can’t say I care, since I had such a great time! I visited 2 Greek islands (Santorini and Mykonos) and went through northern Greece as well, so plenty of photos and reviews for the next posts to come! For more news, check my instagram!

See you until new post or vi ses (as Danish people say for ‘see you’)!

That is my image of Greece when I leave! Wind, sun, sea and a million landscapes all lying in front of your eyes 🙂
